the recent retirement of one of our longtime makers was the impetus for opening our own, small manufacturing facility in Marrickville, Sydney. operating our in-house production allows us to reduce our impact in transporting garments across Sydney, as well as upholding the quality and standard of our byfreer pieces.

knitwear manufacturing in Australia is limited due to the availability of machinery. therefore byfreer.'s knitwear is made in Italy or China. like all byfreer. garments, the design process begins in our Paddington workshop and is developed and manufactured in close consultation with our suppliers.
