Returns Policy

 

The following terms and conditions apply to all online and in-store purchases from byfreer.

Returns:

  • We provide in-store credit, exchange or refund where your return is received at our nominated returns address within 14 days of:
      • In-store purchase date
      • Acknowledged click/collect pick-up date 
      • Receipt of online order per Australia Post tracking data.

Considerations:

  • Garments that have been worn, washed, dry cleaned or laundered in any way will not be accepted for return, refund or store credit. -
  • Garments that display manufacturer fault will be exchanged or if a suitable replacement is not available, either a store credit or refund will be transacted according to client reference. 
  • Any garment that has been altered in any way cannot be considered for an exchange, refund or store credit. 
  • Lay-bys, during the lay-by period, do not qualify for a refund but do qualify for an exchange or store credit to a minimum value of the total lay-by purchase value.

Sale Items:

    • Items purchased on sale are eligible for a credit note or exchange only.
    • This includes any item that has been marked down with strike-through pricing.
    • We reserve the right to exclude items from sale and/or remove products during the sale period.

     

    Final Sale Items:

      • If your order is eligible for a refund, you will be refunded back to your original payment method. Postage for change-of-mind purchases is to be covered by the customer. International orders that have unpaid duties or taxes will be deducted from the refund amount.
      • This includes marked-down items with a further discount at checkout or as marked in promotional periods.

      Refunds:

      If your order is eligible for a refund, you will be refunded back to your original payment method. Postage for change-of-mind purchases is to be covered by the customer. International orders that have unpaid duties or taxes will be deducted from the refund amount. 

      Jewellery & Footwear 

      • For health and safety reasons, we cannot accept returns on socks, hair jewellery or earrings. 
      • Shoes must not have markings or scratches on the soles. We suggest trying on shoes on soft surfaces such as carpet.

      How to return to a boutique:

      You can return your online purchase at any byfreer boutique. Please ensure you bring your order confirmation which was emailed to you at time of purchase. Your return will be assessed per our returns considerations above. All acceptable returns can be exchanged, a in-store credit raised or a refund made to your original payment method.

      How to return your online order:

      • If you are eligible for a return, please provide our Paddington Workshop at online@byfreer.com with both the postal tracking number as well as your Shopify order number which can be found on your order confirmation email. Postage of online returns for change-of-mind purchases or international orders is to be covered by the customer.
      • Please note, byfreer does not cover the cost of returns. International orders that have unpaid duties or taxes will be deducted from the refund amount. Alternatively, you can send the parcel through another courier service of your choice.
      • Please ensure the returns confirmation number you receive via email, along with your full name at the front of your return parcel. Please send the order back to:

        Once your parcel is received at our Paddington workshop, you will be notified via email. Returns are typically processed within 2-3 business days.

        In-store Purchases:

        If you have made a purchase in one of our boutiques, we only offer credit notes or exchanges for full-priced products subject to the following conditions.

        • Items are returned in their original and unworn condition with all tags attached. 
        • Are returned within 14 days of purchase and accompanied by a receipt.
        • Items are not socks, hair accessories, jewellery (earrings) or sale items.
        • Please note, lay-by cancellations will incur a fee for the amount of the deposit.
        • In-store returns can only be returned to a byfreer boutique.

          All sale purchases made at our boutiques are final sale and cannot be returned unless deemed faulty by our team. We are not liable for any damaged garments due to dry cleaning.
           

          Cancellations:

          Please note once an order has been placed, we are not able to accept any cancellations. It is our priority to process orders as quickly as possible and as a result, we are not able to cancel any orders before or after shipping. Once you have received your order and decided to return it, please read and follow our return policy as stated above.

          Afterpay:

          Afterpay returns can be either exchanged, a credit raised to the value of the original item purchase price or refunded to the original payment method. a 7.5% re-stocking fee will be deducted from any refund where the Afterpay purchase method is used. (the 7.5% restocking fee applies to Afterpay purchases only.)

          International Returns:

          byfreer does not cover the cost of International Returns/Exchanges. You can arrange your return with any courier of your choice, or we can provide a shipping label for a flat fee of USD $30.

          byfreer is not responsible for duties and taxes and these charges are also non refundable, other than for an item received faulty. Please contact your local customs office to confirm fees and information regarding import taxes prior to placing an order.

          International orders that have unpaid duties or taxes will be deducted from the refund amount.
